Manhunt underway for Perth man who attacked mother, daughter in Perth

Police are hunting for a man who allegedly attacked his mother, a 12-year-old girl and her 16-year old sister with a hammer at a home in the Perth suburb of Broadbeach.

A spokeswoman for Perth police said the incident occurred at the Broadbeech apartment complex at around 4pm on Saturday.

“Officers attended and spoke to the suspect, who then left the premises and was not located by officers,” the spokeswoman said.

Police said the woman was in a stable condition at the Perth Hospital, and that the girl was in serious condition.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his late 30s, about 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with a short-cropped brown beard and black hair.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, white shirt and grey trousers.
