When you’re selling your home, you have a lot of options: You can pay a bit more, or you can sell it outright.
But a new report suggests many Canadians are being duped by agents who offer them a deal they don’t want.
“The real estate agent, in the end, is the one that sells you the house, not the bank or the bank-sponsored entity,” says Paul E. Wysocki, a professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
“If you are a young person and you want to go into real estate, I think there is a lot to be said for being a smart real estate broker.”
